Property: dissolved in water and release barium hydroxide and sulfhydryl barium. It is insoluble in ethanol, its solution and strong basic and corrosive liquid. It can react with acid and release hydrogen sulfide,or react with concentrated acid in heat condition to produce hydrogen sulfide and sulfur. It is easy to oxidize in moist condition.Specific gravity:4.25 (15°c ).Melting point 1200°c 

Usage: Used in production of barium salts, rubber vulcanizing agent, depilating agent of leather, insecticide and bactericide. Storage:  hazardous No.: 95009. Avoid water and moisture. The operator and loader should wear work clothes. If fire, fight with water and sand.
